Tamarind Pulp

It is popularly called tsamiya in in the northern part of Nigeria among the Hausas.
Tamarind Pulp Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 kg Tamarind
Instructions
- Remove outer shell.
- Separate pulp from seed (no water whatsoever)
- Gather the pulp in a ball (plus fiber) and wrap in a cling film.
Notes
This method keeps for as long as a year, as opposed to the water extraction method that spoils within a month.
